The results of all EU Member States placed the 27-member European bloc at the top of the overall medal standings at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. At the end of the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, the Member States of the European Union emerged as the dominant force when their results were combined.
The Netherlands, Italy, Germany and France all finished in the top six, underlining Europe’s strong presence at the Games.
EU countries collectively won 54 gold, 56 silver and 54 bronze medals, for a total of 164 medals.
Norway finished first with 18 gold medals and 41 in total, followed by the United States (12 gold, 33 in total).
The European Commission and the European Parliament celebrated the success of EU athletes.
The unofficial combined score marks a major achievement among the bloc’s members, with Italy in first place, Germany in second, and France rounding out the top three among the 27.
