Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo has bought 25% of the Spanish second division club, currently in third place in that league. The details of the deal were not disclosed.
Cristiano Ronaldo has begun to realize his dream of owning a football club. The Portuguese player announced the purchase of a 25% stake in Unión Deportiva Almería, a club in the Spanish second division.
UD Almería’s president, Mohamed Al Khereiji, says the club is “happy” to have been chosen by CR7.
Almería has been under the control of Saudi owners for more than six years. Mohamed Al-Khereiji became the owner and president of the club last summer when he bought it from Turki Al Alsheikh.
The team currently occupies third place in the Spanish second division. Their last participation in the first division was during the 2023-24 season.
