Daniel Rodrigues delivered a score of 67 strokes, three under par for the Stellenbosch course in that South African city, as a result of five birdies (one stroke under par) and two bogeys (one over), finishing the second round with a total of 139, in the group of those classified in 41st place.
With four birdies and three bogeys, Ricardo Melo Gouveia needed 69 shots, bringing his total to 142, which places him in 79th position and outside the cut, as did Stephen Ferreira, who today scored 73 strokes (the result of two birdies and five bogeys) and 147 in total over the two days, finishing in 133rd place.
The quartet that led the 2026 South African Open has given way to the sole leadership of Italian Francesco Laporta, who handed in a score of 64 strokes, six under par, and has a total of 130, one less than Englishman Nathan Kimsey, second in the main circuit event.
