Portuguese driver Pedro Almeida (Toyota Yaris) leads the Lisbon Rally, the third stage of the Portuguese Rally Championship (CPR), after Friday’s special stages, the first of two days of competition.
Pedro Almeida, navigated by António Costa, finished the first five stages of the Lisbon event with a 4.7-second advantage over Gonçalo Henriques (Hyundai i20), who debuted navigator Gonçalo Cunha. Championship leader Rúben Rodrigues (Toyota Yaris) is third, six seconds behind, but does not score points in this event.
Armindo Araújo (Skoda Fabia) is fourth, 7.5 seconds behind, with Ricardo Teodósio (Citroën C3) closing out the top five, 16.4 seconds behind the leader.
Note the ninth place of former champion Rui Madeira (Hyundai i20), 45.2 seconds behind.
On Saturday, six more special stages will be contested, including the Cascais Marina super special stage, starting at 4:50 pm, with a total of 58 timed kilometers.
