Barcelona have agreed to sign 25-year-old forward Anthony Gordon from Newcastle for an €80 million transfer on a four-year contract, valid until June 2030.

The forward excelled last season, scoring 10 goals in the Champions League and earning a call-up to the England squad for the 2026 World Cup. The club’s sporting director, former player Deco, and his assistant Bojan Krkic, were recently in England to speak with representatives of various players, including Anthony Gordon.

Barça beat out competition from clubs such as Liverpool and Bayern Munich, who were also interested in Gordon. The player made 46 appearances for Newcastle this season in all competitions, scoring 17 goals and providing five assists.
