Sporting won the Portuguese Basketball Cup for the ninth time this Sunday, defeating FC Porto, winners of the last two editions, 86-84 in the final played in Albufeira.
The Lions, who were losing 46-45 at halftime, reclaimed a trophy that had eluded them since 2021/22.
Benfica, who fell in the round of 16 against Braga, remains the team with the most wins in the Portuguese Cup, 23 in 77 editions, seven more than FC Porto and 14 more than Sporting.
