The national beach volleyball teams, in the under-19 and under-20 categories, both women’s and men’s, are intensifying their physical preparation at the Costa do Sol arena in Maputo.

This training cycle aims to increase the endurance and power of the pairs before technical contact with the ball, consolidating the necessary base to face the international competitions of the current sports season.

In the women’s sector, the work focuses on the pairs Alaina Mahumane/Cecília Machava and Assucena Mabjaia/Sana Fastudo, also including the integration of Wellace Nuvunga.

As part of a high-performance strategy, the pair Artemisa Tembe/Emília Suade trains simultaneously with the senior team, promoting accelerated competitive maturation through the exchange of experiences with elite athletes.

In the men’s sector, the preliminary selection focuses on the pairs formed by António Adelaide, Arnaldo Nhantumbo, Maurício José, Raimundo Manoca, Jeff Nibreja and Armando José.

The entire group works under the technical guidance of national coach Osvaldo Machava, who has the support of assistants Alírio Manjate, Assiat Cherinda and Bonomar Macuacua, in addition to the specialized monitoring of physical trainer Jaftalina Cuna.
