The Mozambique National Under-17 Football Team won tonight against Angola 2-1, in a match corresponding to the third and final round of Group C of the African Nations Championship, which is taking place in Morocco, guaranteeing a place in the play-off for access to the World Cup in the category.

Mozambique started determined and opened the scoring in the first half through Allan. The Angolan response was not long in coming, with Eliseu restoring parity.

And they reached the winning goal through Charif.

With this victory, Mozambique finishes in third position in Group C, with four points, one less than Mali, who beat Tanzania 2-1. The Tanzanians finished the group stage in the lead, with six points, while Angola finished in last place, with only one point.

The Mambinhas now go to the World Cup qualifying play-off, where they will face other third-placed teams in the competition, in the fight for the last available place for the world tournament.
